The final figure from John Rosengrant's tableau "Calm Before the Storm", this soldier has his trusty Garand in hand (literally—his hands are molded onto the weapon). His gear includes an M1928 haversack, a parka or raincoat tucked into his belt, a bandolier across his chest, and an M1943 entrenching tool to attach to his belt. He is fashionably attired in the M1943 combat jacket, woolen scarf around his neck, and combat service boots with the buckled leather gaiter.

It's a challenge to come up with new superlatives for Rosengrant's figures. So I'm going to shut up and start building them and hope like hell that he and S&T will continue to grace us with more wonderful 1/35 GI figures!
