Modeling the U.S. Army in WWII

This is nice set to populate just about any U.S. AFV. In fact, if you swap out the heads, you could use these figures with artillery pieces or as regular infantry if you don't want soldiers with web gear. The combat jacket worn by all four men was more commonly seen on armored troops, but it was prized by infantry who could get their hands on it.

The driver figure (who could probably be positioned as a gunner in the turret of an M10 or M18), wears the winter combat trousers under his jacket, as does the commander figure, who has a .45 slung from his belt. The other two figures are posed for handling ammo, but the one crouching could likely be used in other situations.

The figures are well sculpted, and with the exception of some casting seams along the insides of the legs, there is little cleanup necessary. The figures do share a sameness in their facial shapes and expressions, so you might want to replace a head or two for variety's sake. The slim ammo round does not seem to have the distinctive taper and shoulder seen on the M62A1 that was used in the M10. Instead, it looks more like the M42A1 76mm Sherman round. So depending on what vehicle this crew crews, you'll need to take that into account.
